AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
Ganfer
Ganfer faced a significant challenge in managing its agricultural information. The lack of an automated system for collecting, recording, and analyzing key data, such as plant density, cumulative production, and harvest factor, generated significant operational inefficiencies. Reliance on spreadsheets for manual management of this information leads to errors, delayed decision-making, and limited visibility into greenhouse yields, making it difficult to plan and optimize the production process.

The Solution
To address the data management deficiencies, we implemented a comprehensive system that automates the collection and recording of key agricultural information, including plant density, cumulative production, and harvest factor. We developed a flexible application that adapts to the needs of the field, allowing data to be recorded across different weeks of the production cycle. In addition, a dynamic catalog was integrated that automatically updates plant characteristics based on the collected information.
To transform this data into actionable insights, we implemented smart dashboards that facilitate clear visualization and more accurate weekly decision-making regarding harvest quantities by plant type (cucumbers, tomatoes, berries). All this information was centralized in a relational database, which significantly improved security and structured data management.
Business Impact
Automating the recording and analysis of agricultural data improved decision-making accuracy, achieving greater operational efficiency by optimizing harvest planning by plant type and reducing losses due to inaccurate estimates.
Centralizing data in a structured database improved traceability and information control, facilitating internal audits and future projections.
Visualization through intelligent dashboards allowed production supervisors to have a clear and up-to-date view of greenhouse performance.
